honestly, if I owned one of those I would plan on driving it. who give a F about date codes? I dont look at cars as investments, they are modes of transportation. what good is a cool old car if you cant drive it the way it was built to be driven?
the whole muscle car investment thing has almost ruined my perception of cool vintage cars. millions of dollars for a stupid cuda...there are only 3 88 1LE's left and they arent going for that much. why? they perform better, they're more comfortable and they're more streetable...in my opinion, they're better cars. but for some reason theose older cars are selling for what estates in central jersey are selling for. I personally would rather have a built up third gen than a stock, numbers matching 71 hemi cuda convertable. why? because I would be able to enjoy the damn thing.
I can't wait for the muscle car scene to collapse.
