I am sorry if the original post was misleading. The car itself was not involved in an accident. The Transmission just isn't working correctly so I am trying to figure out why.

How can you verify the presence of a bent shift fork Does the transmission have to come out in order to do this or is there a test that you can do to see if this is the problem?
