while ebay has been known to have the occasional "diamond in the rough" finding a decent car/project these days on ebay is the same if not more difficult than it used to be to hunt them down in the classifieds.
unfortunately, thieves have made it even more difficult. a face-to-face or, at the very least, a phone call with the owner is the only way to know for sure if they are 'legit' or not, and even then you are guaranteed nothing. it all goes back to the brady bunch: "caveat emptor"
