Of course there will be the woman who is just as into the hobby as you, or will let you do a lot. But not all women are that easy going about it. But you should still make them feel as though they are a priority...don't always have to be the TOP priority. But don't get mad at the woman when she leaves you because you put the car way above her.
Besides, there's a difference between racing every weekend or working on your car a couple nights a week, but you still spend a lot of time with her and if she wants to do something one weekend or one night you agree, and always preferring your car over going out with her. I've seen quite a few relationships like that, and they have always ended because the guy would rather go to the track or work on his car than hang out or go out with the woman.
