I "carry" a Kershaw Chive. Not much in terms of size or manliness but it holds an AWESOME edge (ridiculously sharp), can be operated with one hand, and isn't bulky in my pocket. If I ever had to use the knife for defense it would probably just make the guy die of laughter.
