interesting, AFAIK, all LS1/ls6 vehicles 2001-up got LS6 clutches(as well as the ls6 intake). My stock '01 clutch failed at 10k miles and i then got a Spec stage 3... now i would NEVER recommend a SPEC after that thing. When i did my new motor, i decided to do a clutch that i wouldnt regret so i broke down and bought the textralia.
AND i havent been running a clutch return spring since 20k miles Haha... 2 broke on me and i have yet to put the new one back in, someday i will.
