OBD1 PCM with a OBD2 Connector
im sure many of you have seen this problem before.
I have a 1995 Camaro. The PCM on the 1995 3.4L V6 is OBD1 compliant. The connector to my PCM is an OBD2 style connector.
This causes a connection problem between the PCM and any scanners that I have previously tried. After about driving for aroudn 15 minutes, the SES light will come on. I NEED NEED NEED to find a way to scan it as this has been a problem for a while now. I know you used to be able to short the pins on the old style connectors. Are the wires the same? if so does anyone know which OBD2 pins coincide with which OBD1 pins and so forth. If not, does anyone know which scanner, IF ANY, will work for this problem? This is extremely frustrating.
