it shoudl be able to be resurfaced several times during it's service life, unless it was terribly hot spotted or warped at some point.
i woudl suggest looking around at some of the lightweight flywheels that are around. i have seen prices on them steadily coming down for a year or so now, maybe you can get a better piece for jsut a few bucks more or get a deal on one of the clutch + flywheel combo's that many of the manufacturers have.
