Speaking of floods...

Here's a couple of pictures of the Delaware River from last year. The first one was taken from the top of the river bank at the beginning of April 2006 with my boat at the dock at the normal river height. It's abot 85-100 steps down to the dock. The 2nd picture was taken at the end of June 2006 when we had the big flood last year and I didn't have time to take the boat out of the water. If you look at the first picture, you can see a piece of cable sticking out of the tree(I had to cut it the year before when we had that flood). In the 2nd picture, that cable is under at least 5 feet of water. That little landing you see with the railing ends up at least 10 feet under water. Where my cousin's house is in Titusville, the river can go up or down 25+ feet when it floods. Luckily, they are high enough to stay dry, but the power company will still shut power off to the whole area when it gets that high because several houses get filled up to the first floor.
