We didn't try raw beef at all - he is allergic to it. Once we realized that he had a reaction anytime he ate anything with beef in it, the vet suggested the raw diet. We tried chicken, turkey, pork...and I think deer. He'll sit and beg for cooked versions of any of the above (thanks to my dad ), but he wasn't interested in the raw at all.
