any of the shorty headers can be very easily installed in a driveway with common hand tools. just need to jack it up to attach the y-pipe.
the tone of a 3 inch system won't be much different, maybe a touch louder if you use the same muffler. but it wil provide a bunch of extra air flow that your engine will love you for, especially if you do !cat with it.
