of course it is! bolt pattern is the same, you just need to check the offsets. if i'm not mistaken, c6 wheels have been put on an 4th gen f-body before, but with pretty large spacers. now, if memory serves me correctly (which it never has), the 3rd gens would require less of a spacer.
i say do it man, i'm willing to bet it only needs a small spacer and its gonna look sick on a 3rd gen! post pics
