well another night at the track, another time running in the top 5 with the race more than 1/2 way over, and another problem....i think thats 4 times so far this year
Randy if the iron gear went away WOW thats a palm full of steel real bad -- my take would be strip it to the screws scrub it out block plugs out as well and re bearing it - polish the crank and cam journals remove all the rings pins block jets for oil pump dont miss anything throw away the pump and spend 3 hours on the pan washing it ( power sprayer works well of corse you get damp haahhaha ) than scrub everything spotless -- than call me -- it might not be a total but something was incorrect in the engagement of the 2 gears - angle mill on heads and manifold angles ???????? -- you also -- was it you who posted a lean thing or vacume maybe leak right from the start up ??????/ -- dont know if it was you --

PS: get a box of zip lock freezer bags and a marker and make sure you know what came from wheir -- do not other than bolts throw together in a box -- on the GOOD side dizy gears brake off in big pieces and not a pwoer like some stuff you just might luck out keep all the pieces you find strain the oil out of the motor we want to fine a palm full to be sure you got it all -- jz
