I was a typical suburban Jersey metalhead throughout my teen years and into my early 20s. Then I met a girl who turned me country. She's long gone, but still love the music (Sounds like a song title; I should write it down). I still like to pop in a Metallica or Life of Agony CD now and again when I need a shot of adrenaline, but for the most part, my favorites are: Toby Keith (In your face redneck songs), Brooks and Dunn (Honky Tonk all the way), Montgomery Gentry (In your face redneck AND honky tonkin', especialy the "My Town" album), Kenny Chesney (The chicks dig 'em and some of the lyrics are pretty deep) and any female with an honestly powerful voice. Sara Evans tops the list there. Oh, and lately, I've gotten into Hank Williams III. He's the grandson of the late and original Hank. For you metalheads, he does two shows a night: One with his country band ("This Damn Band") and a second with his metal band ("Assjack").
