143,000+ miles....
And then it went. Coming home from Ocean City, I was driving, and just happen to notice a little smoke coming from my car, I quickly looked at my temp gauge to see it climbing to around 230-240 before I could pull over and turn it off. My upper hose came off, and thought thats all, no biggy. I tightened it back on and I got a ride to Wawa, got two gallons of water ( they had no antifreeze) and put it in the car. The temp was fine, and thought all was well, till I went to the back of the car, noticed the exhaust sounded a little wierd, and that the check engine light was on. I thought it might be for cause it ran tso high. WEll I went to take off and it hesitated like hell, and only got about 500 ft. down the road before it shot back up. I pulled over, looked under the car, no water, opened the cap, as tho there was like a gallon in it ( and I did take into consideration when I filled it up the first time that there was air in the line, and got most of it out). Then the person who gave me a ride notcied that my exhaust was puffing white. By now I looked at my A/F ratio gauge wand was reading as tho it was all messed up, and my Check engine light was blinking. So I believe I have done it, Ive blown a 3800 series head gasket, and you know what, its about time, cause when I yank this bitch im adding two more cylinders, which leads me to the classifieds area, if anyones got an LS1 for sale. anywho, just thought you guys should know, even if you granny drive a car, and take care of it better then your first born ( I have no kids so dont worry lol) it can still go crap on you. Tomorrow I gotta go back and check the oil for antifreeze in it, if so, w/e ift happens.
