OK, you were trying to match engine and trans rpms. I have heard this term used and people don't have a clue what it means or, why it would be done. Usually double clutching is done when downshifting a non-synchronized transmission. clutch, pull it in neutral, let out the clutch, rev the engine, clutch it again and, put it in a lower gear. In your case you were taking the rpms down to ease the load on the synchro's. Good job. When you get that fixed(soon I hope) you should lower your ET a good couple of tenths.
