basically, anyplace you go you can expect to pay $7k-10k above sticker for one of the 2010 models being delivered starting in mid '09.
i know of exactly ONE dealership that i may try to work with to get one if they are willing to stick to or very close to the sticker price, and i am not counting on even them being so kind. if they are willing to work with me, i will let eveyone know where they need to do their shopping

I wouldn't give them peanuts for the new camaro, the first yr it comes back out, and here's why:
1) u kno they will do some changes to it the 2nd production yr like they did w/ the GTO. Hell, w/ the GTO they went as far as dropping in a whole new motor and bumping it up 50HP, let alone the true-dual exhaust and air scoop hood. What about the idiots that paid over retail for the 1st ones with the LS1 in it, i guess they were SOL. I bet new motor options will be available, as well as a whole heap of other goodies.
2) it doesn't make finanical sense; look at the new ZO6. Why in god names would someone pay $30K over retail for a corvette? are they just that stupid or do they just have so much money that they dont care? Think about it. That $90K "$65K corvette" will be worth about $35K - $50K in about 4-5 yrs, just about when most ppl leases r up and they are turning them in on when somone who bought one of they decides to sell it.
Now ppl speak of supply and demand; well in 5 yrs there will be an abundance of LS7 ZO6's out as well as probably the new Z07. And blue book value is blue book value, they dont give a rats ass what u paid for it, it is about whats its worth...you can buy an '05 ZO6 for peanuts compared to what they sold for new, now like $25K.
So basically it will go the way of the new GTO, ppl paid $45K for it, and the next yr ppl could buy an over stock one for like $25K. When ppl buy these ZO6's they lose $30K as soon as they sign the paper. Unless of course you get the 1st one off the assembly line, or the new limited edition one that is limited to 500.
Ill wait a couple yrs, untill all the bugs are worked out and the hype dies down, and pick one up at an earthly price...or just work my LS1 4th-Gen SS up for a farction of the cost of a 5th-Gen one and blow its 22" rims and yellow doors off.
