i will support the superior car. the fact that i'm biased to american cars didn't influence my decisions at all. i bought my camaro and my saturn because they were FAR better than anything else i test drove. i still love BMW. i will own one eventually one of these days. but i can't stomach the price tag and other things. now that i think of it, before both my cars, i had test driven a nissan (G35 and Murano to be precise). in both instances, i felt the car to be very generic. it didn't stand out at all. my buddies 99 maxima has been to the mechanic 4 times this year. all for major problems and the car only has 90k on it. like i said before, i am yet to meet someone who has had a trouble free nissan
as for matt's comment:many people on this board drive foriegn cars. my first cars were a toyota and a isuzu. they were both early 90s cars and i did love them. both were extremely well built. but where's the rodeo now? and look what happened to the camry? my friend himself was telling me that his father (who was the biggest camry buyer and has owned each generation camry since the 80s) is switching to mazda because he feels each newer camry is giving him more and more problems.
i just spent my afternoon fixing my dads lexus. out of all the cars in our driveway, it has given us the most problems. it still has no cupholders, a broken center console, a squeak in the dash, and a suspension problem lexus cannot locate. not to mention the car is very slow, gets awful gas mileage, and has lifeless steering. its quite unimpressive for a 2 year old 40k dollar car.
