Here's another example, 2007 z06 vette runs the quarter mile stock needs nothing. a 1980 honda accord with a 50 shot of nitrous runs an 18 second quarter and he needs a jacket. Seems kinda lame to me.

nitrous = oxygen, oxygen = important part of fire, people who are too dumb to tighten a line properly are also commonly found to be too dumb to wire things properly.
it is a pretty simple formula really, nearly every part of a car is flammable(fuel), nitrous provides plenty of air to allow a low temp flame to propagate through saturation, all you need is a small static spark and you are a weenie just a roastin'
BTW, there are a million stories of stock Z06's getting bounced for going too fast without safety equipment.
the simple truth of it is is this, if you don't want to play safe at high speeds your choices are to be jsut another highway fatality resulting from excessive speeds or you can go to a track that isn't known for caring about how safe you are until it is too late to help you.
