As jz said, try playing with the timing and reconnect the vacuum advance.

This is not an issue per se but you should not mount a coil sideways like that if you can help it (according to MSD, it may lead to premature failure).

It looks to me like the open port on the N2O solenoid is where you hook the AN-4 line (in this case) that leads to the bottle; that is the N2O feed part of the system. You can buy an AN-4 cap to keep junk and dust from getting in there.
