Consider a stint in the military after highschool. I put in a few years and it did me some good.
You don't have to go into combat arms.
Of course if you still wanna parachute, you could consider a military job in transportation. The 18th Airborne has a Trans unit that is jump qualified and stationed out of Ft Bragg. I worked with them in 1996, not a bad group. Even have one of their Challenge Coins.
