That is probably too much cam for the stock TPI motor. The duration of that cam will need to move more air then the long runners and small plenum of the TPI can handle. The TPI seem to react best with less duration, I'd look for something with at the most 220 duration. Also, 470 is near the max lift the stock valve springs can handle. So you need to plan on upgrades there as well.
Your TPI is really at it's best at no more then 5500RPMs, above that and it just can't move enough air, so when you look at cams stay away from cams that list the power range above that.
SLP and TPIS use to carry some good TPI cams. I'd look at those and see what specs their cams have.
As other have stated, tighter LSA will give you the lope at idle, so look for something in the 112-113 LSA, but do not go lower. You will need to get tuned as well.
If you go with porting your intake and after market runners you could then look at cams like the ZZ4 or slightly larger, hot cam. Again keep duration and plenum size in mind.
And just to throw another idea out, people have had good results converting an LT1 intake onto a TPI motor????
