I had mine removed, all four of them, when I was 23 and it was hell. All four were under the gums. They knocked me out for it and after coming to, I was throwing up the rest of the day. I had it done on a Thursday, and Friday-Sunday I didn't have much pain or swelling. So I went back to work on Monday and all of the sudden the pain hit me like a ton of bricks. But I also have TMJ, so that could have made the pain more severe for me. I'm just glad these things don't grow back
