I feel fortunate to have lived during some very cheap and simple times over my last 59 years. $ .18 a gallon was not cheap even in those days considering the minimum wage was only $1.25 per hour. I worked on a construction crew the summer of 1966 where a 40 hour week only gave me about $40.00 bring home. I thought I was rich. I make that in an hour now but i'd go back to 1966 in a heartbeat.
None of us like paying nearly $3.00 a gallon for gas. I really feel bad for the poor families that live on so little each week and spend most of that money on fuel costs so they can make a "living". Sadly it's only going to get worse. I'll keep paying the high price of HIGH TEST for my big block because i'm not real crazy about the idea of feeding it recycled corn oil from McDonald's.
