comparing a mass/mainline production model to a limited production model like the cobra is somewhat of a waste of time. the closest comparison would be to a base corvette. for only a few thousand dollars more you can own the vette which is about 4 tenths quicker across the 1320' than the cobra.

2V GT's are garbage, not really talking about them....I believe the 5.0's were quicker up until 93 when the LT1 came out...I remember quite a few running in the lower 14's stock(mostly lx's)...dont remember any 3rd gens doing that...Vette's and Cobra's aren't in the same class. SS & WS6 are, both were priced almost identical, regardless if the cobra had a different powerplant or not. The 96&97 DOHC out ran and out trapped the same year LT1 w/ a competant driver. Then the Ls1 ended that until the Blown Cobra came out in 03.
