Since my Golden "Taz" passed away, it hasnt been the same around here and have been looking to adopt a dog for the past 3 weeks. After a few applications at various agencies, I got the call last Thursday that my application was accepted on a Boxer/Lab mix. Since I was in Vermont I had to wait until today to pick him up. He is between 5 and 6 months old, he was found as a stray in Pemberton. He definitely has had some prior training and someone is really missing this guy, but no one ever came forth and claimed him, so we took him in. We decided to name him Tonka, since when I was a kid the Tonka trucks were my favorite toy to play with, and it kinda suits him well...here are a few crappy pics until my sister uploads the ones from her digital camera.
he goes for a few more shots tomorrow, the groomers on wednesday because he still has some "Kennel Crud" and then Friday he gets his check-up. There goes my past few paychecks
its all worth it though he has been a GREAT pup so far.
