It was the AIR pipe gaskets that made all the difference!
I actually ended up using the 2000 passenger side AIR pipe after heating it up and rotating it 90 degrees to line up the fitting. The 99 pass side pipe was right up against the spark plug wire and I didn't like that. Things would have gone so much better if I had remembered to connect that #8 plug wire before starting the car back up!
