we do welding in the carpenters union too.
usually when it comes to welding angle clips to steel I beams for exterior framing, or welding structual studs. they actually teach that in a night class at apprenticeship school. pipe fitters and electricians make more than carpenters, i think their going rate now is around $40+/hr
