there is a sliding scale for gas guzzler taxes on anything under 26mpg highway i believe. the worse the mileage the higher the percentage. the only saving grace of this is that it tends to charge those who can afford mega yacht yuppie SUV's and leave is common citizens alone. finally, a tax being paid by those who can afford it
