Unless you have some sort of wild cam or radical compression ratio the stock programming should be able to control it.. It my not run at its peak but it should be able to maintain an idle and normal acccelleration without missfiring.. What is the compression ratio and specs of the cam that is in the car now?

His car is not speed density. 93 was the only fourth gen with SD.
