Good luck with the new job, because you'll need it. I've been an accountant since the summer of 2003. Before that, I dealt blackjack and roulette for a couple of casinos while I went to college. Which was the better job? Dealing. The office environment sucks especially if you're stuck with people with the typical boring personalities--you know, the 50+ year old senior citizen who always talks about the good old days, the middle age woman who can't stop talking about her kids, the office jester who tries too hard to be funny, etc. All of these people will drag you down to earth. The best office environment would be working in an empty building with only email as the sole form of communication.
