I see that and I think about the mid-late 90's fords with the big oval radio that required a very ugly install kit when switching to an aftermarket head unit.

Its called an intergrated radio, and its going to do away with the easy one two three install of DIN style radios. GM, as well as most of the Big 3, have been way behind on the times of intergrated radio/hvac design, and it seems that Camaro will be the first GM car this side of Caddy to use this design.
