Yea, I miss they days when they essentially stuck an airdam on the nose and a spoiler on the back of a stock body, dropped it on a tube frame, and went to town.
It wasn't until the late 90's that Nascar
really started messing with factory designs. When GM redesigned the Monte Carlo and submitted it to Nascar, it would have dominated, but Nascar changed so much to equal it out. Now they don't have to worry about that anymore. The nose is about the only difference on any of the cars they drive.
