The world would come to a screeching halt. It's amazing when I think back to just ten years ago when they (Or the internet) weren't that popular yet. Now, I get pissed when I leave the house without it. I use it throughout the day at work, not to mention that my Native American friend Wife calls me. I try not to use it when driving, though. Because I'm always the first one to go, "Look at that idiot driving and talking on the phone!"
