millers are the best out there, but also can cost the most.
I have a little 110v clarke 130en or something like that. its a mig, uses gas and works very very well on light gauge metal and will do a pretty good job with 3/16. It will weld 1/4" but i'd prefer something a bit more powerful for that. I couldnt pass it up, it bought it second hand, brand new in box, came with a cart and a new outright tank of argon/co2 gas for 300 bux
If i ever buy another one it will be a miller 230volt unit
