i usually do not rely on one source of information. when i read something like this, i try to gather as much info from as many different sources as possible, because editors have their jobs and sometimes some pertinent information may be inadvertantly deleted from the original story.

from USA Today:
Quote:
Police arrested Hughstan after the slaying at the Pueblo Seco Condominiums and accused him of first-degree murder.
from East Valley Tribune:
Quote:
Hughstan Schlicker also said the anger he felt toward his father festered when the teen's parents took away his computer...
from News5, Phoenix:
Quote:
Police said they told Schlicker's mother about the threats; she allegedly told them she wasn't worried and promised to lock up any guns in the house.
Quote:
Schlicker portrayed his father as a loving man who only wanted the best for him and who used to take him on hunting trips.
those condos ain't cheap. the family had more than one gun, according to the mother's statement about locking up the "guns", 15 year old has a home computer, father took him on hunting trips. although the part about the hunting trips could've meant a retreat nearby the house, i've been to the phoenix area and there really isn't anywhere to hunt, so they must've gone out of the area which means they spent money on it, and that means the father had a decent job that he took vacation time from.

all of this leads me to believe that the kid is a spoiled little rich kid.
