I've tried the acetone on a couple of different vehicles and never saw any difference in gas mileage. It wasn't due to driving differently either as I usually drive with a light foot. I tried it in my old 88 4Runner with the 3.0 V6 and 5 speed 150K miles and got 20 mpg all summer during my normal commute. I tried it in several different increments(2,3,4 oz I think) and never saw a difference. I could see where it might help clean up the combustion chamber on a vehicle and that would increase efficiency and get you back to where the engine was when it was new. But a clean engine probably won't see any difference. Older carbed engines would probably see a benefit, but I agree that modern EFI stuff most likely won't.
