Honestly I think the right thing to do would have been to yell at your kid. Forget the one thats driving the quad. If he wants to kill himself thats not your responsibility. Your daughter is what matters and you should be yelling at her/grounding her because its sounds like your a good parent and she made a stupid enough decision to get on that quad.

You cant point fingers and get pissed the kid and his parents. You cant control them or talk sense into them. You should be discussing how dangerous it is with your daughter so that she is smart enough to make the right decision next time johnny 50cc says hey hop on my quad.

I'm 18 and it still pisses me off when my dad yells at random kids for doing stupid ****. We live on a hill and I remember when I was your daughters age he used to go out there and yell it kids flying down the hill on bikes and skateboards. I'd be like dad wtf I'm not doing it why do you have to make a scene.

The important part is that one day your daughter will understand. Type in quad fatalities and find some news articles then fill her in on those. It makes the situation that much more real and really brings the point home for a younger kid.

O yeah just dont start with Jacks, brothers, aunts, nephew from works cousin had that happen to him because my parents still do that and I roll my eyes and say here we go with the he said she said bs again to this day.
