Since this is "picture" of the month and the voting is also based on the picture itself, the first pic needs more contrast. It would be much nicer edited some. The 2nd pic is obviously edited, its got a bunch more contrast, the colors are brighter, the blacks are black and the highlights are bright. The first picture is too gray, the colors in the leaves don't pop like they should. Fall pictures are great, but you have to edit the picture to make it not look muddy. Unfortunately, since we're visual creatures, a really great picture of an ok car will always win over an ok picture of a really great car. I'm not saying thats the case here, just saying that technicalities in photographs spread farther than taking the picture and uploading it directly from the camera.
