Yea, I've had a couple of raging fires in my pit too. We turned the lid of mine bright red once, but I don't think I got any pics of it.
Regardless, that's a hell of a fire. Can't wait to move and get my firepit back.

I was there that night
Down at (the other Justin's) house someone tossed a whole 6 of empty yuengling bottles in his fire pit. Needless to say the next morning we found out when the dog brought in melted bottles from the firepit. that was a mess to clean up.
