So at the swap meet i bought a TPI set up for my camaro and would like to switch the carb out for the TPI. The only problem is my cars engine has nothing in it that is stock, the main problem that stands in my way is apparently the knock sensor, the kind of cam thats in there right now I was told would not work with the TPI set up. I was told if I want the TPI the valvetrain is going to have to get rebuilt, new lifters, cams, valve springs, heads, and possibly rockers....so basically everything, because of the knock sensor.
Does anybody out there know of a way to bypass the knock sensor...the last thing i want to do is switch the cam in that engine...
any advice or help is greatly appreciated..thanks guys
