I'm definatly going. its actually an import and domestic event now. As of last year it was an import and domestic event. The NHRA Sport Compact series was an import/sport compact only series. But they merged both series. So There's no more NHRA Sport Compact series now its called NOPI Drag Racing Series Sanctioned by NHRA. In theory i would have been an incredible series, but they dropped the ball BIG time. They for one didnt release the new rule book or even the CLASSES until three weeks before the start of the season.... SOO people like TTP who was planning on running the nopi series was screwed over because they didnt have a rule book or even a class to build a car around. On top of that they nixed a few classes at the last second. I think it still has potential to be a great series. The pro rwd class is basically putting the fastest import against pro stock type domestic cars. Obviously the domestics are restricted a lot more but its still awesome. The last event was interesting. The Mazda RX8 from Puerto Rico beat out a blown Firebird. The Pro mod class is basically the same on the import side. 3/4 chassis cars for the most part. But on the domestic side there's a lot of the 10.5 inch outlaw cars running. Low 7 second cars import vs domestic. I think its great. There's a few other classes too. But even th bracket classes should be fun. lol i personally will have fun beatin down some swapped hondas in my $700 basically stock iroc. I think everyone should DEFINATLY go. This is our chance to finally show those ricers and domestic haters what we're really made of.
