I pop it open and I see I have a $129.98 balance with a $29.00 late fee....WTF???
I make a phone call since I pay all my charges and have no idea where it came from. I speak to the lady on the phone and she tells me their were two charges made to my card from TLG Just for Me services. I have no idea what this is but get the phone numbers to contact them.
I do some google searching and all I see is scam this and fraud that....great. I try calling and of course they are closed on the weekends. I call my CC company back and they cancel the charges. However, it will take 2 billing cycles for it to clear up so I still need to make a minimum payment on something I shouldn't even be dealing with. Freaking ridiculous.
I hate dealing with this garbage.

Contact your CC again, because if you are disputing a charge you should not have to pay a dime toward it. And as long as you contacted them within 60 days of the charge, I don't believe you have to pay the late fee either.
If this isn't the case with your CC, cancel them and get a different card. Capital One and Discover do not require a minimum payment if you are disputing charges.
And yes, you should always check your statements to make sure each charge was authorized. I always check online a few times a month, as well as when I pay the bill.
as for the scam, you should probably cancel the card and get a new number. It'll probably happen again now that the number has been successfully charged once, even after they refund the money.
