amd's quad core is the equivalent of intels core 2 duo not to mention the AM2 chips are power hogs and put off a **** ton of heat unless you running a after market heatsink it will over heat
3gigs is bad you need stay with even numbers for max performance and don't mix and match the stick sizes thats asking for alot of trouble.
also Tigerdirect should have gone out of business like 3 years ago I stopped buying from them when I ordered a chip 2 video cards and some fans when I got the **** in the pc the only things that worked where the fans
if you must buy a prebuilt I would get a laptop IMO check these out
