second - its only the ((( old boat ))) stuff that has the motor turn backwards the stuff today the out drive does it < cheaper to make a drive than all the motor stuff -- like oil pump , most use gear to gear for the cam , cam it self the , the crank is a thing some have a special unit and some dont i believe its a firing order thing in a V8 that determins it not sure - never payed that much attension to boats -- jz

yea, other than older marine applications the only thing I know of that uses reverse rotation are certain industrial applications.
