Saves me MUCH more than I was spending in oil. Electric prices aren't going up like regular fuels are. Plus I get a discount thru the elec company if I upgrade the remaining appliances to 'energy star compliant' pieces....so I'll stick to what I got and save what I'm saving.....

Plus the cost of the upgrade isn't too bad considering what a new oil boiler was going to run me. $3500 vs $5000 minimum.....plus I can scrap all the pipes and boiler.

And honestly, the house no longer STINKS of oil....digital thermostat upgrades will only save me that much more....so I'm still ahead with room to go further (like insulating the walls and attic)
