How do I get random drivers to stop playing their music so loud?

I am from Bound Brook and unfortunately I live about a block away from Cottington Park where the basketball courts are. Anyway, I live on a busy corner and there are way too many idiots blasting their annoying music when by my house. It invades my family's personal space when I have to hear crappy loud rap music as I am trying to work on something important or if we have company over. Anyone have any ideas on what to do about this?

Would the police do anything if I stopped by the Borough Hall and told them my story? I mean everyone that lives around is suffering from this crap. I realize its summer and all, but thats no reason to blast you music so loud that I can hear it as if I was standing right next to the car.

I am not a legal person, but doesn't this crap violate some law or something? The BB cops are rarely ever patrolling around either. Of course I am not going to yell at them to turn it down because I don't feel like getting into a fight with whoever plays their music loud.

I mean if cops could be called by neighbors of people who are having loud parties at their houses, I don't see why the cops can't do anything about this. I am open to advice.

These stupid idiots are going to go deaf by the time they reach 40. Then they are going to turn their music up even more. I mean its fine to listen to music loud when on a highway or back road, but that isn't cool when you are driving through a dense neighborhood.
