Not to say that whites don't constitute a town not being a ghetto, but I think most people see BB as a poor Latin town. Bound Brook is a haven for people because it has a down town area and an uptown area, and the basketball courts at the park are used for many serious refereed games. Bound Brook also still doesn't get any reports of murder or basic crime. Vandalism to property is still about the only thing we get. Otherwise everyone minds their own business. You could still walk the sidewalks at night and don't have to worry about getting mugged. In the summer, people even push their baby carriages at night and many go for walks. I'd stay clear of the downtown area myself.
Bound Brook is one of the oldest towns in Somerset county/NJ. Yet houses in Bound Brook still go for upwards of $400K. Middlesex is actually the undesired town for people to live in according to newspaper sources. I personally think Middlesex is a nicer town, but go figure.
I even hear that distant places like Morristown and Hillsborough are becoming ghetto-like places too. So it may happen to your town someday. Don't think your safe just because you are located in the middle of nowhere or you have a lot of privacy.
