My wife has an 02 elantra, my brother had an 04 and 06 elantra. All cars have seen high milege and still get in the 30+ mpg range
The Yaris also is too small for what I need to carry, but I'll look at the Hyundais, my cousin had one once and had nothing but problems with it. I thought they were pretty much tin cans on wheels.
