it shouldnt matter just spray the whole seat with resolve triple action scrub it with the brush and then blot dry with a clean towel... then vaccum the seat with a wet dry vac to make sure you get out as much dirt and resolve as you can... also wear gloves doing in case the resolve burns your skin a bit. Thats what i did to my camaro seats since i broke my little green machine.
